A panoramic drive along Stirling Terrace showcases a number of Albany's superb Victorian buildings. Keep an eye out for Dog Rock -- a large granite formation.
Your first stop is at Torndirrup National Park. Walk to a lookout for glorious views of dramatic land formations called the Gap and the Natural Bridge. The Gap drops 78 feet to the raging sea while the Natural Bridge spans the torrent. It's a thrilling vantage point.
Next, a brief city sightseeing drive leads to the Mt Clarence Lookout for sweeping views. Captain George Vancouver claimed this part of Western Australia for the British Crown in 1791.
The National ANZAC Centre is a newly-built, multimillion-dollar museum designed to expound the ANZAC legend. Explore independently to learn all you can about the Australia New Zealand Army Corps.
Notes:
Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. For your safety, do not deviate from marked paths during the walk at Torndirrup National Park.
