This is a wonderful day of stunning scenery and magnificent forests, with a taste of wines and life in southwestern Australia.
Enjoy a brief tour of Albany's highlights from the comfort of your coach. Set out along the coast to experience the Tree Top Walk at the Valley of the Giants. This raised walkway takes you into the forest canopy on a 600-yard loop, with structures 40 yards above the ground at the highest point. The slope is a 1:12 incline. Time permitting, you can walk the Ancient Empire Trail and see the grand old red tinglewood trees that grow nowhere else in the world. Some trees are more than 17 yards in circumference.
A buffet lunch is offered at a restaurant with wonderful views across Wilson Inlet.
You'll also visit a local winery, with its origins in Denmark, and don't miss the beautiful scenery along Mt Shadforth Drive.
