Your evening in Auckland begins with a short walk from the ship to the Viaduct area — a humming central hub on the city's vibrant waterfront. Once a working port, the Viaduct is now one of Auckland's most popular dining and leisure precincts.
This evening, a buffet dinner cruise is a fantastically relaxed way to experience the Waitemata Harbour — the vast, sheltered waterway that gives Auckland its City of Sails nickname. With more boats per capita than almost anywhere else in the world, the Waitemata is both a scenic and cultural highlight.
Your three-hour cruise begins at twilight with dinner served on board, featuring a selection of fresh, seasonal New Zealand dishes. The atmosphere is informal, with seating available both inside the main dining area and on open-air decks offering uninterrupted views.
View Auckland's landmarks — the Auckland Harbour Bridge, Sky Tower, and the historic Devonport Naval Base, with the backdrop of the city skyline. The mood is unhurried — perfect for reflecting on the day's adventures and the evening light over the water.
Walk back to the ship along the lively waterfront district. With cafés, wine bars, and waterside promenades, it's an easy place to linger as Auckland winds down for the night. If time permits, guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.
Notes:
Tour requires walking approximately 500 yards each way. Wear comfortable walking shoes. High heels are not allowed on the boat. Bring a jacket — it can be cooler on the water.
