In the past, sailing an America’s Cup boat was only available to the racing crews themselves, but today, you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the thrill of sailing on an America’s Cup yacht on the waters of Auckland -- the legendary City of Sails. This adventure offers a truly memorable opportunity to sail on NZL 68 and NZL 41 -- a must-do for all sailors and wannabes.
The crew welcomes you on board for a completely exhilarating experience. You will become part of the crew and are expected to participate in sailing these powerful yachts.
Notes:
Minimum age is 10 years. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Tour requires walking 10 minutes (550 yards) from the ship to the sailboat. Participants must be in fit physical condition. There are no restroom facilities on board. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
