In the past, sailing an America's Cup boat was only available to the racing crews themselves, but today you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the thrill of sailing on an America's Cup yacht on the waters of Auckland -- the legendary City of Sails. This adventure offers a truly memorable opportunity to sail on NZL 68 and NZL 41 -- a must-do for all sailors and wannabes.
The crew welcomes you on board for a completely exhilarating experience. You will become part of the crew and are expected to participate in sailing these powerful yachts.
Notes:
Minimum age is 10 years. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Participants must walk 10 minutes (550 yards) from the ship to the sailboat. Guests are required to be in fit physical condition. There are no restroom facilities on board. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
