Spend an informative morning getting to know the city of Adelaide -- a charming city with a great sense of history.
Travel along North Terrace -- the cultural boulevard of the city -- to see its universities, Government House, the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Botanic Gardens and the Adelaide Festival Theatre. Pass St Peter's Cathedral and enjoy a photo stop at Montefiore Hill, where a statue of Colonel Light watches over the city.
Visit the acclaimed Cleland Wildlife Park in the Adelaide Hills to meet Australia's endemic animals -- many of which roam free in their natural habitat. Photograph kangaroos, wallabies, emus, dingoes and cockatoos and see iconic koalas up close.
A light lunch is included at a restaurant perched on the summit of Mt Lofty, offering a spectacular panorama of Adelaide. Enjoy free time in the heart of Adelaide at Rundle Mall to browse in the shops or visit the famous Haigh's Chocolate Factory (at your own expense) for some locally-made treats.
Notes:
Koala-holding is not available on this tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Tour sequence may vary.
