Combining both natural and cultural highlights, this pleasant full-day tour begins with a scenic motorcoach ride to the Shinjo Local History Museum. Here, you’ll learn about the farming community, peruse thousands of unique implements and delve into the culture of the region.
Proceed to the boat dock and board the relaxed Mogami-River cruise that floats from Furukuchi-port to Kusanagi-port. Along the way, take in the beautiful scenery and listen to the delightful sounds of the sailor’s song sung by the boatman.
You’ll pause in your day for a traditional Japanese lunch, then it’s on to the Sankyo Rice Storehouse, constructed in 1893. Today, this facility comprised of multiple storehouses has been converted to include a museum dedicated to the history of rice in the region and colorful souvenir shops, with local foods and handicrafts.
Return to port at the conclusion of this lovely day.
