Don’t miss the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, located in the Ocean Expo Park. It’s the largest aquarium in Japan and is also one of the five largest in the world.
The aquarium’s exhibits offer a glimpse into Japan’s wonderful sea life, from shore-dwellers to those of the ocean depths. The Aquarium recreates the waters of Okinawa in different tanks, allowing you to admire the marine life that inhabits at various depths. The main attraction is the largest tank, which displays 80 different species. Relax and enjoy the imposing whale sharks, manta rays, yellow-fin tuna, and bonito.
Kouri Bridge, the longest bridge in Okinawa at 1.25 miles, connects Yagaji Island to Kouri Island. The view of the sea from this area is quite special.
Enjoy a set-menu lunch at Ufuya Restaurant, built more than 100 years ago as a house of ancestors. Its architecture is unique to Okinawa.
