Kuala Lumpur, the Garden City, boasts numerous evergreen gardens and parks. Its colorful and beautiful landscaped parks and gardens enchant nature-lovers. The city streets are neatly lined with ornamental plants, shrubs and shade trees.
Head to Independence Square, where you will be surrounded by the most famous landmarks of KL -- the Royal Selangor Club, St Mary’s Anglican Church, and the former British Secretariat, now known as the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, currently the seat of the Supreme and High Courts. After a buffet lunch, drive to the city center to snap photos of the 88-story Petronas Twin Towers dominating the skyline -- soaring to a dizzying height of 1,483 feet above street level.
Next you will visit the KLCC Park, a lush, 50 acre urban sanctuary. The park has been designed to provide greenery to PETRONAS Twins Towers and the areas surrounding it.
Your final stop will be at the Central Market, which used to be the town’s wholesale and retail wet market for fresh produce. Renovated and re-opened in 1986, it was the first example of a heritage building adapted for a different use. Today it is a leading craft center in the city.
Notes:
