Kuala Lumpur is a city of delightful contrasts, and is one of the most vibrant cities in Asia. Enjoy an overview of Kuala Lumpur’s principal sights on a narrated panoramic drive designed for guests who prefer little walking. Your first photo stop is at the King’s Palace. The official residence of His Majesty, the King of Malaysia, is a stately mansion set within a beautifully landscaped garden.
Your next photo stop will be at the National Mosque, which embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art, calligraphy and ornamentation. A minaret that towers some 240 feet dominates its multi-fold umbrella-like roof. Located adjacent to the National Mosque is the impressive Old Railway Station. This grand old station, inspired by Mughali architecture, features seven stately minarets.
Continue to Independence Square. The former playing field of the Royal Selangor Club, the square is also the site where important events are held such as National Day celebrations and streets parades. Located within is the Royal Selangor Club -- a charming mock-Tudor structure. Another remarkable edifice is the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, which served as the government administration during the British era. Not to be missed is the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin -- an Anglican Church located nearby.
Next we will stop will at the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers -- once the tallest building in the world and will visit Suria KLCC, a 6 story shopping mall located at the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers before you return to the ship.
