Visit Iwamuro Onsen, a historic hot spring retreat that has welcomed visitors for more than 300 years. Surrounded by mountains, rice fields, and the nearby coastline, this tranquil onsen invites you to relax in soothing, mineral-rich waters long cherished by locals as a place to unwind and rejuvenate.
Following your onsen experience, enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch before continuing to Yahiko Shrine, one of the region's most important spiritual landmarks. Nestled at the foot of sacred Mount Yahiko, the shrine is dedicated to a deity credited with teaching fishing, rice cultivation, and salt production. The shrine complex includes 25 structures that were designated National Tangible Cultural Properties in 1998.
Your final stop is the fascinating Shirone Kite Museum, dedicated to the area's celebrated giant kite traditions. Discover the history and lore behind Shirone's famous kite battles while exploring a colorful collection of approximately 800 kites from Japan and around the world. Traditional, handcrafted kites and elaborate three-dimensional creations provide insight into both the artistry and cultural significance of kite-making.

Japanese hot springs are enjoyed without swimwear; swimsuits and clothing are not permitted in the bathing areas. Guests with tattoos will be restricted from using the hot spring facilities unless tattoos can be fully covered with medical taping or similar. Bath towel and face towel rental are included.
