Visit the Korean Folk Village—a living museum where potters, weavers, blacksmiths and other artisans practice their centuries-old skills. This living museum recreates Korea’s ancient rural past and features 260 traditional houses. The highlight of your visit will be the Farmers’ Dance—musicians and dancers in traditional farmers’ costumes perform a medley of folk tunes and village dances. The village’s amphitheater is the setting, and the musicians play gongs, drums and reed instruments as dancers costumed in traditional farmers’ garb perform village dances. Don’t miss the Honamudogut—the Shaman’s Dance. It invokes the village’s presiding deity. A Korean barbecue lunch and traditional pancakes are served at the village before you drive back to the ship.
