This excursion combines the highlights of a city tour, introducing you to the life and beauty of Phuket Island, with a picturesque ocean drive.
Your tour begins with a short drive to Promthep Cape -- a hill covered in date palms and bright yellow grasses. The sea below breaks onto a rocky shore and you will enjoy spectacular views over Phuket's coastline.
Continue to the island's most famous temple -- Wat Chalong -- dedicated to two revered monks.
Stop for lunch at Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town (or similiar).
Visit Phuket Town, the main shopping center and city on Phuket Island. Portuguese influence is evident in some of the city's architecture -- a legacy of the tin barons.
And then visit Jui Tui Shrine, a traditional Chinese temple that plays a pivotal part in the annual Phuket Vegetarian Festival. One of the island's oldest and the most respected spiritual centers, it’s a must-see for newcomers to Phuket.
Re-board your coach for the short return journey to the ship.
Notes:
Minimum age is 6 years. Please dress modestly for temple visits, ensuring knees must covered, and no sleeveless tops. Shoes will be required to be taken off when entering the chapels.
