The unparalleled scenery of Phang Nga Bay offers dramatic amber-hued limestone outcroppings contrasting vividly with the startling blue of the ocean. Your sightseeing will begin with a journey north, where you will cross to the mainland over the Sarasin Bridge. Soon you’ll reach spectacular Phang Nga Bay and board a boat to cruise through this picture-perfect waterway. Your boat also passes Khao Ping Gun (James Bond Island), where the movie The Man with the Golden Gun, was filmed in 1974. Tidal conditions permitting, you’ll stop at Koh Panyi water village, where 400 houses are built on stilts and are connected by wooden walkways. A buffet lunch will be served at a local restaurant, which overlooks the nearby mangrove forest and towering hills.
Notes:
Passengers cannot swim or snorkel at Phang Nga Bay as it is a mud sea. Panyi Village is muslim village so no alcoholic beverage is available there. This excursion is guided in English.
