Hong Kong was once a remote corner of the Chinese Empire, dominated by powerful clans and wealthy Mandarins. Today you'll head to the New Territories, which are not new at all -- they became part of Hong Kong in 1898 and comprise 86% of its land mass.
You will visit the opulent mansion of an imperial scholar, and the lavishly decorated ancestral hall of the Tang clan. A lost world will come back to life before your eyes as you see the fortified villages of rural communities and step inside a temple dedicated to the gods of literature and war.
