Experience the beauty and wonder of the myriad of local marine wildlife that thrives in the rich waters surrounding Wrangell. You likely won't find this same concentration of wildlife elsewhere.
Take a short ride on a high-speed catamaran (with restroom), offering a smooth and stable journey in all conditions. Take advantage of the multiple viewing decks to look for black-tail deer, bears, and bald eagles along the shoreline. Your skipper shares Wrangell history and offers an interpretation of flora and fauna.
On the ocean-going circuit, you'll scout seasonally for sea otters, sea lions, humpback whales and orca (killer) whales.
Enjoy a snack and a cup of hot coffee when you come inside. Depending on the season, you might also watch Alaskan fishing boats haul their catch from the sea.
Notes: Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication.
