This photography expedition is suited to casual camera operators (including phone cameras) looking to take home great vacation snaps and to avid photographers looking for next-level pro tips. Experienced photographers and novices alike will capture magical shots. However, you need not be interested in photography to join the fun.
Your day is guided by a professional Alaskan photographer providing technical and creative support. A small group (maximum 10 guests) ensures an intimate setting and access by van to the most scenic locations along Portage Valley and the Turnagain Arm coastline.
Photo stops may include Portage Valley, Turnagain Arm, Virgin Creek Falls, and McHugh Creek, with flexibility to stop for wildlife sightings en route. You'll leave the van for short walks to explore the beauty of Alaska on foot and through your camera lens. Subjects may include numerous bird species, moose, Dall sheep, temperate rain forest, picturesque mountain streams and falls, coastal meadows filled with wildflowers, and scenic views of the Chugach and Kenai Mountains.
