Relive the Klondike Gold Rush with the History Channel
In partnership with the History Channel, embark on a journey tracing the Klondike’s rich past and the dreams of prospectors seeking fortune.
Board the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad in Skagway and travel in vintage railcars along the original route of the gold seekers. Ascend rugged terrain to the summit of White Pass and on to Fraser, British Columbia, while uncovering tales of the daring stampeders who braved this challenging trail.
Continue by motorcoach down the White Pass Canyon, with stops at Tormented Valley and Pitchfork Falls (time permitting) for breathtaking views.
At Dredge Town, enjoy a barbecue lunch amidst mountain scenery. Then, step into a prospector’s shoes as you pan for gold in warm-water troughs—guaranteed “pay dirt” in every pan. Visit the living museum to explore the history of the gold rush and browse mining-related treasures.
Notes: This adventure crosses the US/ Canadian border; US and Canadian citizens must carry a passport and ship ID. All other nationalities must have a valid passport, visa and ship ID. A vegetarian lunch is available; please notify the Shore Excursions team at least 24 hours prior to the tour.
