This thrilling introduction to gold-rush history begins with a panoramic drive through historical Skagway. This town was the very hub of the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897-1898. Sense the excitement and nostalgia around every corner as you drive to the Gold Rush Cemetery. The lives, loves, dirt and deeds of Skagway's colorful gold rush characters and call girls, stampeders, and swindlers are all laid to rest here.
Journey by motorcoach along the Klondike Highway, paralleling the famed White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. Your guide tells many stories of yesteryear as you trace the fortune-seekers' footsteps along the Denver Valley, Brackett's Wagon Road, Bridal Veil Falls and Dead Horse Gulch.
It all comes together at The Days of '98 show -- the longest-running theatrical production in Alaska. The show places you right in the heart of Skagway's history with singing and dancing, love and rejection, drama and laugh-out-loud comedy.
Notes:
Tour sequence may vary. Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
