Your senses will come alive as the aroma of wood smoke fills the air. Experienced chefs prepare a succulent meal over crackling flames. Watch as wild-caught seafood sizzles on iron grates, hear the gentle hiss of cast-iron skillets, and see slow-roasted meats carved before your eyes. The culinary team shares stories of Alaskan life, traditional cooking methods, and the local ingredients featured in your meal. Then, savor this generous multi-course feast featuring slow-cooked meats, seasonal sides, and desserts around the fire, with a glass of beer or wine or unlimited soft drinks.
After your meal, take a peaceful stroll along forested trails, linger by the fire pits, or simply soak in the panoramic ocean views.
Next, your land journey begins with a scenic drive along the Tongass Narrows to Totem Bight State Park. Stroll the Totem Bight Trail under a canopy of majestic hemlock and cedar trees. This ¾-mile walk is lined with an extensive collection of totems.
Through lively stories, you will learn about the culture and lifestyle practiced by the Northwest Coastal Natives and have a chance to enter an authentic Native clan house.
After a brief stop at the quaint Alaska Totem Trading Store, an entertaining city tour shows you the industries that made Ketchikan the Salmon Capital of the World.
