Marvel at vistas seen by few -- high alpine lakes, icefalls hanging from sheer cliffs, and some of the most remote peaks and glaciers on the Juneau Ice Field.
Your pilot will create the best possible flightseeing based on the weather and glacier conditions.
You'll land in two different locations, leaving the helicopter for a brief glacier stroll. During these two landings, you will learn about the environmental and geological processes at work, creating moraines, crevasses, seracs, and the glaciers themselves.
Notes:
Time spent on the glacier is approximate and may vary due to weather and glacial conditions. Tour requires walking approximately 30 yards from the building to the helicopter. Participants must be able to (dis)embark the helicopter; staff can offer a helping hand but are not allowed to lift or carry a guest. Participants can remain on board the helicopter during the landings if they wish. Mobility aids cannot be taken on the flight. This tour can be canceled without penalty on the day your voyage commences; cancellations thereafter are non-refundable. If the flight is canceled due to weather conditions, you will receive a full refund. Guests weighing 250 lbs or more (fully clothed) pay an additional surcharge over the published fare directly to the tour operator just prior to the flight. Every guest is weighed at check-in. The tour operator endeavors to be discreet, but individual circumstances may not allow for complete privacy. The pilot alone decides if weather conditions are suitable for flightseeing. The pilot decides where each guest sits based on weight and balance requirements. Bags cannot be taken on the flight; a secure location is provided for storing personal items. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones, and selfie sticks or other extendable items are not permitted. For optimal photography and views, wear darker-colored clothing to reduce window reflections. Children up to and including the day prior to their second birthday can be added (at no cost) to the parent's weight if seated on the parent's lap (maximum weight remains at 250 lbs); each child aged 2 years or older is required by the FAA to occupy a paid seat. Lap children cannot occupy front-row seats.
