Begin your tour of Homer, the Hamlet by the Sea, with a drive down the length of the Homer Spit. This is the ideal spot for an introduction to the local commercial and sportfishing industries.
Take in the highlights of downtown Homer en route to the award-winning Pratt Museum, which showcases the region's culture, history and natural environment through interactive displays.
At the Norman Lowell Gallery, meet the artist himself. View the impressive collection of large-scale paintings produced throughout Lowell's 50-year residence in Alaska and visit his original homestead cabin.
Heading back into town, pause at the Baycrest Hill overlook for a breathtaking view of Kachemak Bay (weather permitting).
