Get active in Haines' great frontierland, beginning with a bike ride along a scenic coastal path, hiking through a beautiful rain forest to a secluded beach, and sampling locally-brewed beers.
After a bicycle orientation and gear fitting, you'll hop on your bike and follow a guide-naturalist along the coast to the Battery Point Trailhead -- approximately five miles.
Then, hike three miles through a beautiful old-growth forest to a crescent gravel beach. The sparkling Pacific Ocean is your companion, and wildlife sightings are common along the trail -- you may see many types of birds, seals, sea lions, and humpback whales, especially in May and June.
Back on your bike, you'll continue to the Haines Brewing Company -- a state-of-the-art brewery on Main Street in the heart of Haines. Sample locally brewed beers, root beer, or tea.
Notes:
Minimum age is 13 years. Participants under 21 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the brewery. Minimum age to drink alcohol is 21 years.
