A leisurely bike ride along an ocean inlet to Chilkoot Lake offers abundant photo opportunities and a breathtaking getaway -- a great way to get some mild exercise and experience the outdoors.
Your tour begins as you board a van for a 20-minute drive to Lutak Inlet.
Listen to a bicycle orientation and safety briefing and begin your ride along the shoreline of the inlet. You'll pedal nine miles along a flat, paved road, keeping an eye out for wildlife such as eagles, salmon, porpoises, sea lions, whales and bears. Where the river meets the sea, salmon school up for their cyclical journey to their spawning grounds.
Snap photos of the breathtaking views across the emerald lake and inlet surrounded by glaciers, waterfalls and jagged mountain peaks. You may even spot a bear feeding on salmon.
Your tour concludes with a relaxing drive back to the pier.
