Head out to the beautiful, silty, turquoise glacier-fed waters of Eklutna Lake for a scenic and enjoyable kayaking session with transportation and lunch included.
Gear up with a personal flotation device, a paddle, and a kayak. Your group will spend around two hours out on the water, paddling, exploring and taking in the surrounding mountain scenery.
Take a break for a boxed lunch on the lakeshore. Then, choose either to return to the water and kayak for the remainder of the time or relax on the nearby pebble beach. Wildlife is abundant -- keep an eye out for moose swimming in the lake or a bear with cubs hunting on the hillsides.
Notes:
Tour requires moderate-to-strenuous activity. Participants must be physically fit and able to kayak for extended periods. Travel time to the lake is 45 minutes each way. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
