This high-speed catamaran cruise into the spectacular Endicott Arm Fjord is the stuff of travel dreams. It sets out directly from your cruise ship. Board the vessel from your ship's water platform to go further than most and live the dream of an up-close view of Dawes Glacier. This active tidewater glacier regularly expels large chunks of ice into the fjord. The exceptional agility of the vessel perfectly showcases this stunning landscape.
Relax in the warm, spacious cabin surrounded by large windows as your experienced skipper guides you past curious seals resting on floating icebergs. You'll make many stops, and you'll have incredible opportunities to view and photograph the glacier, hundreds of icebergs or bergy bits, sheer cliffs, and wildlife.
Enjoy a light snack of puff pastry and smoked salmon, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Notes:
Minimum age is 4 years. Not available to guests using a wheelchair or those with mobility limitations. Strollers cannot be brought on board the catamaran. Terrain includes a steep and narrow marine ramp from the platform to the boat, with only minimal assistance available. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Bring binoculars. Bring cash or credit card for incidental purchases. In the event ice conditions preclude entry into Endicott Arm, the tour will be modified to explore Tracy Arm Fjord, of equal beauty. Due to ever-changing ice conditions, vessel proximity to the glacier face may vary. In the event ice conditions do not allow the vessel to access the glacier face, the vessel will explore the other areas of the arm, view icebergs, and cruise the shoreline in search of any potential wildlife. Tour timing is approximate; ice conditions may cause slight delays. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
