Answer: No, guests generally cannot stow alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for personal use, with limited exceptions for wine or champagne, specific water allowances, and certain medical and infant needs.
On most sailings, outside the allowances below, beverages brought for consumption or any other use are not permitted, and screening applies to both carry-on and checked luggage.
Wine and champagne rules
You may bring wine and champagne, and a corkage fee of US$20.00 per bottle applies (subject to change without notice). Each bottle must be 750 ml or less, and limits apply.
If the quantity is considered excessive by the vessel or security, it may be refused.
Wine purchased on company-sponsored shore excursions that include local wineries is exempt from the onboard corkage fee, limited to one bottle per person.
Non-alcoholic beverages, plastic bottles, and water allowance
Sodas, energy drinks, and other non-alcoholic items are not allowed on board in any form.
Plastic water bottles are not allowed in any quantity, including in ports of call.
Water is permitted per stateroom within one of these allowances: 6 liters total, 12 cans or cartons at 500 ml or less each, or 6 cans or cartons at one liter or less each. Amounts above the allowance are not permitted.
Before boarding and during screening
Open beverages in plastic containers must be discarded before boarding.
All luggage may be scanned, and prohibited items may be removed, confiscated, and discarded. If luggage is locked, security may remove the lock, or hold the bag for inspection in your presence.
Purchases during the voyage
All alcohol beverages purchased duty free from the ship’s gift shop, or in ports of call, must be surrendered for safekeeping and are delivered to your stateroom shortly before disembarkation.
