Your experienced guide brings the history of Québec alive as you walk the charming cobblestone streets of the Old Town, best explored on foot. Essentially a living museum, the Old Town is the only walled city North of Mexico and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit Place-Royale, whose typical stone buildings were once the homes of wealthy merchants and view North America's oldest standing catholic church — Notre-Dame-des-Victoires.
Around the corner is the charming pedestrian-only area of Petit-Champlain. Among its narrow cobblestone streets, quaint boutiques, specialty shops and outdoor cafés beckon.
Take the funicular to the Upper Town and Dufferin Terrace. From here, take in a spectacular view of the St-Lawrence River, the Île d'Orléans, and the Laurentian Mountains.
The Château Frontenac, perched on a hill overlooking the St-Lawrence River, is the best-known landmark in Québec. It was here that Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and William Mackenzie King met to discuss Allied strategy during World War II. In the elegant setting of this landmark hotel, an expert mixology workshop guides you through some special techniques and explains the ingredients of some fun and creative cocktails. Discover how the shape and size of a beer glass can enhance the aromas and flavors of different varietals as you sample a selection of exquisite beers. Learn the art of swirling, sniffing like a connoisseur, and gain a newfound appreciation for the intricate nuances of each beer type.
