This tour is a great opportunity for a close-up view (weather permitting) of Mt Fuji -- one of the most recognizable landmarks of Japan -- from Hakone National Park.
Relax and enjoy the 90-minute drive to the popular resort town of Hakone and transfer to the Mt Komagatake Aerial Cableway. At the top, your guide will lead you up a stairway to an observation platform providing a panoramic view of Mt Fuji (weather permitting).
More viewing of Mt Fuji takes place from aboard one of the boats that ply the waters of Lake Ashi (weather permitting), located at the foot of the mountain.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll drive back to the ship, about 90 minutes away.
Notes:
Although this excursion takes you to one of the best locations for viewing Mt Fuji, the mountain is often shrouded in clouds. Weather and atmospheric conditions vary; no guarantee is offered with regard to visibility or views on any particular day. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. The excursion boat and the ropeway operate weather permitting.
