The Bunje area at Hallim Park was once a barren sandy field of 81 acres but is now a world-class botanic garden. The local people started the garden by sowing and cultivating palm tree seeds and other specimens, creating a backdrop of vivid green. The palms now seem to stretch skyward, and the park’s subtropical botanical garden is a kingdom of rare plants. Within the park is the underground world of Hyeopjae & Ssangyong Cave Natural Monument, an exhibition of stones and bonsai artworks, a Jeju stone and bonsai garden, and the Jaeam Folk Village, where you can explore the traditional life of the people in Jeju.
Visit O’sulloc Tea Museum, located next to O’sulloc’s Seogwang Tea Plantation in Jeju. As Korea’s first tea museum, it is a cultural space where East and West, as well as tradition and modernity, coexist in harmony. Inside, visitors can explore exhibits on the history and production of tea, along with a variety of green tea products. The observatory offers a panoramic view of Korea’s one of the largest tea plantation, creating a peaceful and scenic experience.
Notes:
