Day 1 (L/D) Incheon - Seoul
Meet your guide and depart on a scenic, approximately 1.5-hour sightseeing drive through the Gangnam area. As Seoul's upscale, modern center, Gangnam is home to gleaming skyscrapers. With its name meaning "south of the river," this district lies along the banks of the Han, one of Korea's largest waterways. There is plenty to see and do in this historical, rapidly gentrifying neighborhood.
Visit Bongeunsa — a mesmerizing historic Buddhist temple in the heart of Gangnam. This temple offers a glimpse of Korea's traditional past, beautifully juxtaposed against the backdrop of a bustling metropolis. In just moments, you'll move from the city's hustle to the serenity of Buddhist mantras and a peaceful landscape.
After lunch, visit Korea's tallest building (and the world's sixth-tallest). Seoul Sky, situated on floors 117–123 of Lotte World Tower, offers breathtaking views of the city skyline.
Next, transfer to the National Museum of Korea for a guided tour of this captivating institution. The museum is considered the flagship of Korean history, art, and culture, serving as a symbol of the country's heritage.
After your visit, reboard your coach and transfer to the heart of Seoul for your hotel check-in and some free time to freshen up before dinner.
This evening, enjoy Chi-maek (Korean-style fried chicken and beer) — an unforgettably tasty dinner experience.
Hotel: Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun (or similar)
Day 2 - (L/D) Seoul - Incheon
After breakfast and check-out, meet your guide and depart for the spectacular Gyeongbokgung Palace — Seoul's most iconic tourist attraction. Built as the main palace of the Joseon dynasty, it is the city's largest and most beautiful.
Next, explore the charm of Insa-dong. This colorful neighborhood is home to around 70 specialty shops dedicated to antique arts. Wander through stores offering treasures ranging from porcelain and woodcrafts to metalwork and traditional art. Each shop is staffed by an expert in its field, authorized to sell carefully curated pieces, including antique furniture and handcrafted items. These offer visitors a fantastic glimpse into Korea's artistic heritage.
After lunch, transfer to Namsangol Hanok Village, nestled on the northern slopes of Namsan Mountain in central Seoul. Opened in 1998, this charming village features five beautifully restored hanok (traditional Korean houses), a serene pavilion, a traditional garden, a performance stage, and a time capsule plaza. As you pass through the main gate, you'll be transported back in time, experiencing the elegance of traditional Korean life while escaping the city's hustle and bustle. The peaceful garden, historic houses, and scenic mountain backdrop combine to create a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city.
Your final stop is at the historic Gwangjang Market, which opened in 1905 and recently gained notoriety after being featured on Netflix's Street Food. Food is central to Korean culture, and Gwangjang Market is the perfect place to experience it. Although Seoul is ever-changing, Gwangjang has stood the test of time, offering an authentic glimpse into local life. Sample delicious local specialties and browse for souvenirs.
Finally, a 1.5-hour scenic drive transfers you back to the port of Incheon.
