Johnny B. moved to Alaska in the early '80s and has been composing music about its wilderness, waterways and wildlife ever since. His dynamic range of pieces, from atmospheric to boogie woogie, are a delightful introduction to life in Alaska in general and in Homer in particular.
Johnny's live Rhythm of the North performance is a celebration of mountains and stunning glacial valleys seen through the eyes of an eagle; it also includes a segment about the life cycle of salmon and a visual and musical reminder of the grandeur of the surrounding ice fields and glaciers. It is the product of one man's reflections on and appreciation of his home state, brought about by more than forty years of exploring, composing music and living in Alaska. Enjoy!
