The tour begins as you board the ferry for a scenic 45-minute cruise up the final stretches of the majestic Inside Passage. Look for waterfalls, whales and other sea life en route to historic Skagway. Enjoy the sights and sounds of this Gold Rush-era town as your guide imparts lively tales, tall and true. Visit the Gold Rush Cemetery and experience the sweeping views from Skagway's overlook. Continue your narrated tour through the streets of downtown Skagway, culminating at the world-famous Red Onion Saloon. The salon boasts a celebrated brothel museum, where you will be greeted by a lavishly dressed madam who will adorn you with a souvenir garter. Enjoy Alaskan Amber beer, wine, champagne, root beer, assorted desserts and other snacks as you are entertained by the incredible stories of the ladies who used to work these historic rooms. You will see the silver dress worn by one of the Red Onion's early madams, the original red lantern and other artifacts left behind by the "soiled doves." You may even catch a glimpse of Lydia, the Red Onion’s resident ghost! Afterwards, shop and stroll Skagway’s bustling boardwalks, rub shoulders with the local "nightlife." A motor coach will transfer you back to the ferry for a relaxing evening cruise back to Haines.
