The town of Whittier is only accessible by one-way tunnel. Traffic out of town is at the top of the hour, traffic into town is at the half hour. Tunnel is closed 11:00p.m to 7:00a.m. Ship arrival time is at 12:30a.m. but first guest transfer out of Whittier does not leave until 7:00p.m.
The tunnel to and from the airport will be closed on the weekends. A normal 15-to-20-minute drive from pier to airport can take up to 90 minutes one way depending on the time of day and traffic.
