Can I use the internet mobile phones or web cams on board?

Internet Access

Guests can purchase and connect to satellite internet 24 hours a day on each ship in the Holland America Line fleet, either by accessing our wireless network or utilizing the workstations located near Guest Services. Internet Plans vary in price to accommodate individual needs and are interchangeable between the workstations onboard and your wireless device.

While our fleet is utilizing some of the most modern satellite constellations available in the maritime industry, speeds can be impacted by weather, ship location, local topography, satellite availability, other technology blockages, etc.

Wireless Internet Service
Each Holland America Line vessel offers wireless access throughout the ship. Guests may use their laptop computer or other wireless internet enabled device to purchase and connect to the wireless internet service on board.

Connect:

  1. Turn Wi-Fi “on” and connect to your ship’s network.
  2. A Popup will trigger or navigate to internet.hollandamerica.com.
  3. Input your stateroom and Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY).
  4. Available plans for sale or prepurchased plans will be shown.

Available Internet Packages:

  1. Surf (most popular): Only available with "Have It All" or once on board. From US $30.99 per day (Surf your favorite sites including acess to social apps, e-mail and internet browsing. Does not allow for audio/video calling and streaming).
  2. Premium: From US $35.99 per day. Premium plan includes Wi-fi and video calling, file transferring and everything covered in our Surf plan. Does not include Streaming or Gaming.
  3. Stream: From US $46.99 per day (Stream your favorite movies and shows right from your Netflix, Disney+, Prime, Max, and other accounts.)

Keep in Mind:

  • Satellite transmissions are inherently slower than shore-side connections.
  • You’ll find a select number of free sites under “Free Sites.”
  • For more information please see the Frequently Asked Questions or one of our Guest Services team members.

Mobile Phone Service
Sailing with Holland America allows you to stay seamlessly connected through Cellular at Sea, a satellite based mobile service available across the entire fleet once the ship reaches international waters. Simply keep Airplane Mode turned off to enable talk, text, and data services, including enhanced connectivity through Starlink where offered.

Cellular at Sea typically activates about six nautical miles from shore and remains available throughout your voyage until the ship approaches land or docks. When you arrive in port, you can switch to local wireless networks for continued service.
