Embark on a boat tour to explore the wide Sermilik Fjord, weaving your way among drifting icebergs until you reach the glacier known as Qalerallit, Greenlandic for halibut. At this incredible location, you can get close to the tidewater glacier’s massive, several hundred meter wide ice front. Spend just under an hour cruising along the glacier front, taking in its immense scale and the breathtaking surroundings. The journey to and from the small side fjord leading to the glacier is equally stunning, offering spectacular views of the fjord and icebergs along the way. This tour is perfect for those that both want to experience an exhilarating boat ride with a local crew, as well as taking time to enjoy a peaceful landscape, listening to the sounds of the water and the ice as you spend time at Qalerallit Imaa.
Note:
The glacier has retreated within the last year and may differ from images previously seen.
