Climb aboard an open-air, island-style bus for a journey up Mt Alava. Take photos from this great vantage point.
Watch for historical buildings such as the original High Court, the old Navy commissary, the post office building, the police station and the local marketplace as you pass through the capital city of Pago Pago.
You’re headed to Fagasa village for a traditional ava ceremony, which showcases Samoan dancing and singing and includes a drink produced from the local ava root. Participate in this festive welcoming ceremony; then, rejoin your bus and travel back to the ship.
