Shodoshima Island is the largest island in the Kagawa Prefecture. Olives and soybeans are grown here. The mountainous interior features one of Japan's most celebrated gorges.
Walk with your guide from the ship to the nearby ferry terminal for a 30-minute boat ride to Shodoshima Island. Your first destination is Shodoshima Olive Garden, established in 1973. Here, you can stroll among the olive groves and buy souvenirs at the gift shop.
Next, a short drive brings you to Marukin Soy Sauce Museum. The museum building is attached to the actual factory and gives insight into the manufacturing process of this traditional and popular condiment.
Conclude with a visit to Kankakei Gorge. Take in panoramic views of the memorable landscapes from the observation decks. You will ride the cable car into the gorge, surrounded by dynamic nature. A Japanese set lunch is served at the gorge.
Return to the ferry terminal by coach and take the ferry back to Takamatsu's port. You will walk back to the ship from the ferry.
