Day 1 (D) Shanghai – Xian

Day 2 (B/L/D) Xian
Depart your hotel this morning for a motorcoach ride to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda -- a temple built to house Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by traveling monk Xuan Zang. Enjoy a pleasant shopping stop at the Jade Factory, with thousands of products made from one of the most beautiful stones in the world.
Lunch is served at a local Chinese restaurant; then, visit the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum. Archaeologists unearthed this unbelievable collection of thousands of life-size terra cotta warriors and their horses in 1974. One of the most important finds to date in the world, this legion was created under the command of unified China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuang. He was terrified that his enemies would pursue him even after death, and so he ordered this ‘army’ to protect his burial site, and for centuries indeed it did. Each warrior is different. Marvel at the sheer numbers and the incredible detail in each and every figure.
Later, visit the ancient City Wall.
Dinner is at the Tang Dynasty Palace Restaurant Theatre, where you will enjoy a cultural program, including a concert played on Tang Dynasty musical instruments and colorful dances more than a thousand years old.
Hotel: To Be Advised
Day 3 (B/D) Xian - Guilin
This morning, after breakfast, visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum. The museum is one of China’s earliest state museums with modern facilities. Shaanxi was the ancient Imperial capital of China and the seat of more than many feudal dynasties over centuries, so the province is rich in cultural relics. The museum houses more than 370,000 items unearthed in Shaanxi, including murals, paintings, pottery, and coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.
Fly to Guilin with a simple in-flight lunch.
This afternoon, visit Elephant Trunk Hill -- the quintessential landmark of Guilin.
After a buffet dinner at your hotel, the remainder of the evening is free at your leisure.

Day 4 (B/L) Guilin - Hong Kong
Wake up in the fresh air of Guilin, far from the hustle of China’s main cities, and enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
Guilin is the famed epicenter of some of the most astonishingly picturesque scenery in China. It is a landscape of totally unique mountain and water combinations, with two rivers flowing through the city and the entire area encircled by bizarre rock formations and intriguing caves.
Take a cruise on the Li River and enjoy an unsurpassed view of the natural surroundings along the way. It is as if a masterpiece landscape is being painted before your eyes. The Li River is the main river system of Guilin and winds its way south to the city. Its banks are decorated with startling hills, steep cliffs, caves, farming villages, and bamboo groves. A boxed lunch is served on the boat.
Step ashore at Yangshuo, characterized by clear rivers, lush vegetation, karst hills and traditional Chinese architecture. Take a stroll down West Street -- the main commercial strip of the town -- to be immersed in an exotic mixture of local life and a surprisingly Western atmosphere.
Your extraordinary China adventure ends this afternoon with a flight to Hong Kong, where you will meet the ship at the pier.
