Explore Anchorage on a tour that traces the city's rise from a railroad tent city, through the incredible 1964 earthquake, to the city of today.
Your driver-guide will start with a one-hour panoramic city drive to view Anchorage's highlights.
Next, visit the Alaska Wildberry Products store for chocolates, Alaska-made souvenirs, and gifts.
Step inside the Anchorage Museum, the state's largest museum of art, history and science. The largest and longest loan ever made by the Smithsonian Institution, the Living Our Cultures exhibition features more than 600 rare Alaska Native cultural heritage pieces and provides access for hands-on study by Alaska Native elders, artists, educators and scholars.
Explore other permanent programs and exhibits, including a hands-on earthquake experience. Viewing tanks allow a closer look at Alaska's marine life, and the Thomas Planetarium offers a wide variety of interactive astronomy programs, including films, music performances, and access to telescopes from around the world.
Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour.
Catch a glimpse of Alaska's story, told through multiple perspectives that reveal ingenuity, technology, and the landscape, and admire the work of its renowned artists before returning to the ship.
