Bert’s Beauty Shots: Bears and Eagles
It seems every week we are back in Alaska, we see more wildlife than the previous weeks. During a stroll in Haines, I saw several bears; they were doing their own thing, not realizing that I took hundreds of photos in a matter of minutes.
The other day we were in Ketchikan where we saw approximately 50 eagles. I never get enough of those pretty creatures.
Anyway, this is the last message for a while as I’m leaving for a vacation. Somewhere in our vacation we go to Alaska; the plan is to camp out in Denali for a few days, fly to Brooks mountain range by the Arctic circle for some Northern lights footage and hopefully we have the time to fly up to the northern most part of Alaska; I’d like to meet the polar bears for a good photo shoot, followed by a real Polar Bear Plunge… :)
It’s just a matter of finding the right bush pilot who understands our passion for wildlife and aerial photography, but that won’t be difficult. If you are a bush pilot in Alaska, your love for outdoor and wildlife is second nature. You wouldn’t be here…
I’m signing off with some photos from this cruise – probably the best bear photos I’ve taken this far. Since the bears weren’t in a hurry, I had the chance to arrange the perfect set-up. Back in August, ciao for now. — The Alaskan admirer
