Perched on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and an idyllic setting for a gastronomic walking adventure. Join an expert guide for a 2½-hour food and history tour and an exclusive glimpse into its delicious culinary treasures.
Take a short, scenic shuttle ride into the heart of downtown Victoria to encounter the city's vibrant food scene.
Step inside the character building of the historic Steamship Terminal. Savor a taste of local seafood, a chicken dish, or a vegetable-based specialty paired with a local beer or wine (non-alcoholic options are available). This may be the perfect place to relax, hear local stories, and enjoy the bounty of Vancouver Island.
Next door, Off The Eaten Track is a gift shop and tasting room, also in the Steamship Terminal building. Take time here to browse for delectable food items and tasty souvenirs such as candied salmon, authentic maple syrup, Vancouver Island sea salt, and the renowned Nanaimo Bar. The latter is a famous Canadian dessert originating from Vancouver Island.
Stroll through Victoria's Inner Harbour streets, from the picturesque waterfront to storied Bastion Square — once the site of Fort Victoria. Hear chilling tales of the city's gold rush past, infamous rogues, and the legendary Hanging Judge.
End on a sweet note at the charming Better Acres Ice Cream store. Sample locally made Vancouver Island ice cream in fun flavors such as salted maple — the perfect finale to your evening out.
Return to the ship by shuttle.
