On this captivating walking tour through the heart of Sandnes, history and charm seamlessly meld, inviting you to savor the city's café culture.
Start your adventure with a very brief transfer into the heart of Sandnes town, located at the end of Gandsfjord. Discover how this vibrant city, established in 1860, metamorphosed from a charming little fishing village into Norway's seventh-largest city.
Ideal for history buffs and curious explorers, this tour provides an insightful look into both the past and present of Sandnes. The tales of innovation, industry, and community that shape this dynamic Norwegian city are quite fascinating.
You'll take a break along the way at a café for waffles with jam and cream — a tasty, sweet foray into the food scene of Sandnes, which is all about local, fresh, and fun.
Notes:
Tour ends in downtown Sandnes, and you must walk back to the ship. Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship. Tour requires approximately 1½ hours of walking. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines and steps. Children under the age of 3 must be secured in a child's car seat on the transportation. These are not available through the tour operator; you must bring your own from home.
