This tour will take you to discover the Royal Site of Carditello, located in the province of Caserta, in the heart of Campania Felix. Commissioned by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon in 1787, the estate was originally created for the breeding and selection of royal horses, as well as agricultural and dairy production.
During your visit, you will see horses roaming freely in the historic galoppatoio, along with elegant 18th-century fountains and small temples scattered throughout the grounds. You will explore the royal stables and then the recently restored royal apartments, adorned with precious frescoes and period decorations.
After a pleasant walk through the gardens, you will enjoy a tasting experience featuring soft drinks, a live mozzarella demonstration, local honey, and a traditional dessert known as la polacca. These local delicacies will be waiting for you at the end of the visit.
You will then have some free time to admire the gardens at your own pace before returning to the port.
