Upon arrival at the Day Visitor’s Centre, you will transfer into 4x4 vehicles.
Depart on a 2 ½ hour game drive in open vehicles, traversing the reserve, where the wildlife roams in profusion and diversity.
The game drive brings you face to face with a multitude of game species, ranging from the famous Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) to the tiny blue duiker and rock hyrax. Lalibela is also home to hippo, giraffe, zebra, warthog and numerous species of antelope and wildebeest.
Return to the Day Visitors’ Centre for a buffet lunch before returning to the pier.
Notes:
Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Daytime temperatures can be very hot. Shade is limited; please dress accordingly. Bring a hat and wear biodegradable sunscreen. The game drive vehicles are not covered; guests are exposed to the elements. Bring binoculars. Participants are not permitted to use cell phones on or during the game drives or to speak loudly or stand up on the game drive vehicles, as this will disturb the animals. Smoking and food are not permitted during the game drives. Minimum age is 6 years. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. Ride will be bumpy. Guests with back or neck problems are not allowed to participate. Guests with mobility limitations may encounter difficulties getting into and out of the open vehicles.
