This overland is designed for TWO guests, staying in one room. Each guest must book their own ticket.
Day 1 (L/D) Alexandria - Giza
Your journey begins with a morning departure to the Pyramids of Giza — a journey through the desert of approximately 3½ hours. Upon arrival, you'll explore these ancient wonders up close, including the Sphinx.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant within the Giza Plateau.
This afternoon, you'll transfer to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), where thousands of artifacts bring Egypt's rich history to life.
Afterward, you'll head to the hotel in Cairo for check-in and dinner.
Time permitting, an optional Sound & Light Show (at your own expense) at the Pyramids may be available later in the evening.
Hotel: Cairo Marriott Hotel (or similar)
Day 2 (B/L/D) Cairo - Sakkara - Luxor
After an early breakfast and check-out, you'll drive approximately one hour to Sakkara to visit the Step Pyramid. Designed by Imhotep, it is believed to be Egypt's earliest pyramid.
Head into the heart of Cairo next, and to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Within this neo-Classical building, explore a vast collection of ancient treasures that celebrate the Pharaohs.
Lunch follows at a restaurant overlooking the Nile.
In the late afternoon, you'll transfer to Cairo Airport for an evening flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in the Valley of the Kings region, transfer to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Time permitting, an optional Sound & Light Show (at your own expense) at the Karnak Temple may be available.
Hotel: Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa (or similar)
Day 3 (B/L/D) Luxor - Cairo
Begin the day with breakfast and check out before a short drive to the Karnak Temple, one of Egypt's largest and most impressive temple complexes. Explore its colossal columns and sacred spaces.
Next, you'll cross the Nile to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings. Here, you'll descend into the tombs of Seti I and the famous boy-king Tutankhamun.
Lunch is served nearby before you transfer to Luxor Airport for an afternoon flight back to Cairo (approximately one hour). Transfer to the hotel, check in and enjoy dinner.
For a final taste of Cairo's vibrant culture, an optional evening walking tour of El Moez Street is available. You'll walk down the full length of Moez Street, which ends at the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar in the heart of the old walled city of Cairo. Here, it seems that time has stood still, and life has barely changed in centuries. Pass licorice tea sellers, spice markets with obscure roots and magical powders, black-swathed women, and brightly-painted donkey carts overflowing with watermelons and mangos.
Hotel: Hilton Cairo Heliopolis (or similar)
Day 4 (B) Cairo - Santorini
In the early morning hours, you'll transfer to Cairo International Airport for a flight to Santorini, with a brief connection in Athens. Total flight time is approximately 6½ hours. By late morning, you'll arrive on the stunning Greek island of Santorini, ready to begin the next chapter of your journey.

Service animals, including dogs, are not permitted at the Pyramids. The Egyptian Museum also restricts service animals. Travel time to Giza is approximately 3 to 3½ hours each way.
