Take part in an once-in-a-lifetime experience on this captivating excursion which offers the opportunity to interact with dolphins in waist-deep water. A short transfer brings you to the beautiful Anthony’s Key Resort, set in a tropical vegetation and home of the Roatán Institute of Marine Science. From there you will board a speed boat that in a few minutes will bring you to a tiny island surrounded by turquoise waters called Bailey’s Key. The dolphin encounter is an unforgettable experience of getting to know the dolphins in their natural habitat, this includes a briefing and actually touching and playing with the dolphins in waist-deep water on a beautiful small beach. Before you meet, touch and play with the dolphins you will be briefed by qualified and experienced staff, who will accompany you in the waist-deep water. After this incredible experience you will have free time to visit the photo and souvenir shop. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Roatán Museum—small but very well organized and air-conditioned. You will see some archeological pieces and ancient arts and crafts, as well as historical documents of Roatán and the Bay Islands.
Please note: Photographs of your encounter with the dolphins will be available for sale. This tour involves some walking on gravel roads inside the resort, presenting difficulties for wheelchair users. Do not wear sunscreen or jewelry as these can injure the dolphins' skin. Pregnant women are not allowed to participate. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing. Children under 6 years old must be held by their parents, as the water is waist deep.
Minimum age is 7 years.
