Aboard an open-air, island-style bus, you’ll head to Leone village. Snorkel among the corals here in the waters of the former capital to see both corals affected by climate change and healthy, restored corals.
This tour offers a guided experience with marine scientists who will explain the projects underway to repair damaged reefs affected by climate change.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Participants must know how to swim/snorkel. Transportation is by basic island bus with no air-conditioning or PA system. Tour guides may be young locals without professional training. However, their knowledge, friendliness and enthusiasm are sure to add to your island experience.
