With your 24-hour ticket, you can hop on and off the excursion bus at your leisure. Enjoy excellent views and an extensive multi-lingual (English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Japanese, Russian and Norwegian) audio commentary available through individual headphones.
A circuit including ten stops at important landmarks, museums and public spaces allows you to see whatever interests you. Stops include the Stavanger Cathedral, the Old Town, the Ledaal Royal Residence, and more.

For calls docking in Mekjarvik, the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus picks participants up at the port with a dedicated departure time and a shuttle service operates to return you from Stavanger to the ship in time for all-aboard. Children under the age of 3 must be secured in a child's car seat on the transportation. These are not available through the tour operator; you must bring your own from home. Wear comfortable walking shoes. This is a hop-on, hop-off service and is not exclusive to Holland America Line guests; the tour is open to the general public. The tour is unguided; you are merely purchasing a ticket for the bus service. You must exchange your voucher for a hop-on, hop-off ticket with the bus driver upon boarding the first bus. A clean headset is issued to you at the beginning of your tour, and you will keep it for the duration. Expect traffic delays and possible wait times at the stops associated with the service. It is your responsibility to return to the ship before all-aboard time. Entrance fees to attractions along the route are not included. Due to the nature of this tour, there will be no refunds. Where applicable, participants must climb steps to reach the bus' upper level. Tour duration varies based on your choice of stops and time spent at each. The entire bus loop without hopping off is approximately 1hour. Tour sequence may vary. Bring local currency or credit cards, as most vendors do not accept US dollars. Tour operates rain or shine, but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions. Multi-port packages and discounts for students and seniors are not available on board the ship. Entrance fees to attractions along the route are not included. Walking is at your discretion.
