Head to Molde’s commercial pier and embark on a ferry crossing to Vestnes on the far side of the fjord.
On a panoramic drive, cross the starkly pretty Tresfjord Bridge. Your destination is the Trollstigen Foothills Viewpoint, which offers an unrivaled perspective of the famous Trollstigen Road, known for its steep incline and hairpin bends. Marvel at the dramatic landscape that surrounds you, including towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush green valleys -- nirvana for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Pause at Trollstigen Gjestegård for a buffet lunch and free time.
You’ve heard of the Troll Wall -- the tallest vertical cliff in Europe with some of the world’s most difficult climbing routes. Follow the Trollveggen to see it for yourself -- it’s quite memorable.
Along the route is Slettefossen, among the Romesdal Region’s most breathtaking waterfalls.
The drive back to Molde through Åfarnes and Sølsnes provides different views over Langefjord.
