This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair. It covers many of the island's most iconic landmarks.
Your journey begins with a visit to the historic Old Fortress for panoramic views of Corfu's coastline and beyond.
From there, stroll/roll down the elegant Liston Boulevard, with its signature arches providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxed pace.
In the UNESCO World Heritage Site Old Town of Corfu, charming cobblestone streets and pretty buildings exemplify the island's unique character. Enjoy an easy-going panoramic drive past the ancient city of Paleopolis, uncovering the rich history that shaped Corfu.
For a peaceful moment, stroll/roll along the scenic waterfront to view the tranquil 17th-century Vlacherna Monastery — a serene haven steeped in tradition.
Finally, cap off your excursion by taking photos of the famous Mouse Island from an Insta-worthy vantage point.
Notes:
Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair (the tour operator suggests bringing a companion to assist if needed, as guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs). Only non-ambulatory guests using a wheelchair that requires specific accommodations, such as a lift/ramp and wheelchair anchor on the transportation, can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation; guests using a collapsible wheelchair and able to board the coach via the steps must book Accessible Corfu: Old Town Charm & Scenic Sights (Companion). Companions can book the same tour under the title Accessible Corfu: Old Town Charm & Scenic Sights (Companion). The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Guests requiring accessible transportation, please complete the Special Services form at https://book.hollandamerica.com/specialServices/login.action; this will ensure that suitable transportation is in place for your tour.
